The History Behind Kratom
Mitragyna speciosa (Rubiaceae) is an indigenous plant that grows in Southeast Asia. This plant, which is as it happens, a tree in the coffee family, is notoriously difficult to propagate under less than perfect conditions and prefers a warm and humid climate with plenty of moisture (such as that of our own – South Florida, as far as the United States is concerned)..
