The History:
Rudimentary versions of ‘hashish’ go back millennia (some estimates reaching over 6,000 years ago in Central Asia, in respects to ‘finger-hash’). Moroccan cannabis culture (flower & kief) goes back circa 1400 years (established via the Arab conquest of the 7th century) & has roots in the famous Rif Mountains of northern Morocco.
Our Moroccan styled hash goes back to the processing/production techniques in the 1960s – 1970s (which was also concentrated largely in the Rif mountains). Our Moroccan THCa Hash follows that tradition: resinous trichomes are separated from the plant, gathered, and pressed into a dense, pliable piece. The result is a rich, aromatic hash made from several strains that produce an indica-dominant hybrid effect.

- The Process: Traditional Moroccan style hashish is made by dry sifting. Dried plant material is gently agitated over fine mesh screens so the trichome heads (the resin glands) fall through and collect as a fine, golden powder known as kief (no solvents or CO2 used in our hash, only pressed trichomes). That powder is then warmed and pressed by hand or with gentle pressure into a solid block(s).
- Moroccan style vs. Modern Concentrates: Most modern concentrates, (“dab” varieties such as shatter, wax, live resin, etc.) use a solvent like butane, propane, or CO₂ to strip cannabinoids and terpenes from the plant, then purge the solvent to leave a highly refined extract. Others, like rosin, use heat and pressure. Dabs are typically consumed by vaporizing the concentrate on a heated surface. Traditional hashish can also be consumed with some dab rigs & dry-herb vaporizers (being able to control the amount of heat is key). Our hash is a more hands-on, plant-forward product that keeps the character of the whole resin, with a distinctive earthy, spiced aroma and a dense, pliable texture. Concentrates are generally more refined and often higher in potency, while Moroccan style hashish offers a more balanced, full-bodied & smoother experience.
